2-alarm fire destroys Hunterdon County home

UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A two-alarm fire in Hunterdon County Wednesday morning destroyed a family’s home.

The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. at a residence on Albert Drive in Union Township, according to the Quakertown Fire Company.

Fire crews arrived and observed heavy fire from the roof and second floor.

A second-alarm was then struck and a request for rural water supply units.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear.

The Union Township Office of Emergency Management is working with the homeowner to determine what, if any, assistance they will need until their insurance company and other parties are able to provide assistance.
